6 Excellent Woobox Alternatives You Should Try

Whether you’ve run many contests or just preparing for the first one, you’ve probably heard of Woobox.

Maybe you’ve even used it.

And like many tools, it has its shortcomings.

For instance, some Woobox users have complained about issues such as:

  • A small number of participants for giveaways in the basic package (only 1,000)
  • Limited customization for giveaways
  • Limited anti-cheating tools

And there are more depending on which user you ask.

That’s why I’ve researched Woobox alternatives you can go for.

If you’re just planning to run your first contest, you should consider these alternatives before paying for Woobox.

But if you’re a dissatisfied Woobox customer, you’ll likely find a suitable product on this list as a replacement.

1. SweepWidget

SweepWidget is on my list of the best Facebook and Instagram giveaway tools.

But beyond that, it’s also a great Woobox alternative.

In terms of the lowest plans, both tools are similarly priced, with Woobox’s basic plan going for $37 monthly while SweepWidget’s Pro plan costs $29 monthly.

But beyond the price, you’ll get more features in SweepWidget’s Pro plan. For starters, SweepWidget offers unlimited user entries for your giveaways, while you only get 1,000 entries with Woobox.

Creating a new giveaway in SweepWidget contest builder

Apart from that, SweepWidget offers more entry methods even in its lowest plan.

Another thing I’ve experienced with SweepWidget is that it’s easy to set up and use. No matter your level of technical skills, you’ll likely create giveaways on SweepWidget in a few minutes.

And if you face issues, SweepWidget has fast and helpful customer support that can put you through.

Here are some key features of SweepWidget:

  • Giveaway builder: The giveaway builder takes you through 4 steps where you can select your entry methods, set up login fields, and design your giveaway landing page. The giveaway builder also lets you determine who can enter your contests.
  • Over 60 entry methods: SweepWidget gives you many entry methods across over 30 social media channels. You can run giveaways on traditional platforms like Instagram or platforms like Twitch, Spotify, and eBay.
  • Templates: To make your contest creation easier, SweepWidget provides templates for different marketing channels. You’ll find at least 25 templates to start building your contests.
  • Geo-block entries: If you want to restrict your giveaway to a location, SweepWidget lets you do that. This is important if you know your ideal customers live in a specific location.
  • Giveaway fraud prevention: Cheats can easily defeat the purpose of your giveaways. But SweepWidget provides features like disallowing VPN usage, blocking duplicate IP addresses, blocking high-risk email providers, and more. With that, you can be sure your giveaway is fair.
  • Data collection: SweepWidget lets you set up login forms to collect user data. You can generate leads by making login compulsory for participation.
  • Integrations: If you want to reach out to giveaway participants after your campaign, you’ll need other marketing tools. SweepWidget lets you integrate with tools like CRM and email marketing software.

But if you want to do more than just giveaways, Shortstack lets you do that. For example, Shortstack lets you create landing pages and email sequences.

While landing pages and emails can help you get better results from contests, they also enable lead generation from other social media campaigns.

To give you a good starting point, Shortstack provides over 60 templates for contests, landing pages, and popups.

Beyond that, Shortstack has one of the best contest builders.

Put simply, if you have an image of how your giveaway landing page will look, Shortstack can bring that image to reality.

  • Fraud detection tools: You want to prevent cheaters from winning your giveaways. Shortstack lets you require login through a phone or Facebook account, email verification, or even reCaptcha. These ensure only real humans are participants, and they’re not gaming the system.
  • Landing pages: If you want to run other social media lead generation campaigns, Shortstack provides tools to create standalone landing pages.
  • Website popups: Popups can be a great tool to turn visitors into leads.
  • Email marketing: Shortstack lets you create autoresponders that deliver emails to participants once they enter your contests. Or set up emails to be delivered to participants at a later date.

3. Woorise

In terms of price, Woorise’s lowest plan is more affordable ($23 vs $32). Although Woorise also caps entries at 2,000 monthly for its lowest plan.

Generally, Woorise is more affordable, as even its most expensive plan is cheaper than Woobox’s second-cheapest plan.

But Woorise’s affordability is not due to a lack of features.

Woorise giveaway builder and editor

Woorise lets you create viral giveaways, surveys, and quizzes.

You also have a builder that makes creating unique giveaway landing pages easy. If you already use WordPress, you’ll find the builder easy to use.

That said, you can face issues while using any tool. Woorise’s fast and helpful support ensures you can quickly fix any issues.

Here are some key features of Woorise:

  • Drag-and-drop campaign builder: This builder lets you create giveaways, landing pages, and forms. You can add as many elements as you want to ensure the contest represents your brand.
  • Templates: Woorise provides more than 70 templates for different contest types, landing pages, forms, surveys, and more. This can lay the foundation for your design.
  • Landing pages and forms: You can create landing pages and forms to generate leads. So, if you want to create social media campaigns other than giveaways, this feature can come in handy.
  • Link in bio: Apart from running giveaways and creating landing pages, Woorise is also a link in bio tool. With this feature, you can create a link in bio page that drives your audience to important business pages.
  • Woorise Workspaces: Also called Woorise Sites, it helps you organize your giveaway campaigns. If you run giveaways for clients, you can create a workspace for each client.
  • Fraud detection: You have access to tools like Google reCaptcha and email verification to weed out cheaters from your promotions.

4. ViralSweep

In terms of price, ViralSweep is more expensive than Woobox. And again, ViralSweep has no free plan, unlike Woobox.

That said, ViralSweep offers unlimited entries on all its plans. You can also expect more features compared to Woobox.

Another thing I observed with ViralSweep is its premium giveaway designs.

Once you decide on your contest type, you can use ViralSweep’s easy-to-use builder to create unique campaigns.

Beyond that, ViralSweep has responsive customer support that answers any question you have while using the product.

This gives you more options if you want to promote your giveaways on your website.

Here are key features of ViralSweep:

  • Gallery and Leaderboards: These help you run viral campaigns as participants compete to come out on top.
  • Waitlist contests: If you want to create a buzz for your product launch, the waitlist contest will come in handy. Participants can perform tasks to move to the top of the list. Then, they can be the first to use your new product.
  • ViralSweep partner network: ViralSweep has created a network of various businesses. So, you can promote other brands’ giveaways while they can promote yours too. This way, your giveaways can reach new and bigger audiences.
  • Fraud detection: You can prevent multiple entries from the same IP address. But ViralSweep also has an automatic fraud detection system. So, when trying to pick winners, ViralSweep will alert you if a winner tried to cheat.
  • Email/SMS forms: These forms let you capture leads on your website. You can collect emails and phone numbers from these campaigns. And with integrations, you can transfer these leads to your CRM or email marketing software.

That said, Easypromos has a few things going for it.

With over 40 contest types, you have many options when creating a promotion. Again, Easypromos lets you try all the contest types before paying.

Easypromos templates

You only pay when you’re ready to run a giveaway.

Beyond that, you’ll find enough templates to pick from if you need a starting point for your giveaway.

  • Fraud detection: Easypromos has 11 security controls to prevent cheating in your contests. You also have access to the Fraud Index, which alerts you when there are signs a participant has committed fraud.
  • Organize brands: You’ll especially find this useful if you run a marketing agency. You can group your promotions for each client in one place.
