Summary

Sendible is a robust tool for social media managers. While it lacks some features, it executes the core features of social media management excellently.

Who is Sendible for?

Sendible is a great tool for social media managers or people who create social campaigns for clients.

It’s easy to use for most people and provides the core features for social media scheduling and engagement.

However, it lacks features like link in bio, AI caption writer, and Pinterest integration. If you really need these, you may have to look beyond Sendible.

For alternative tools, consider ContentStudio and Vista Social.

Let’s move on.

Sendible key features

Sendible publish

In the publish section, you’ll find your social media calendar.

The calendar provides an overview of your posts for a month, week, or day.

Apart from that, you’ll see posts in categories like scheduled, queues, and drafts.

If you want post ideas, you can check the holidays box to see the holidays on each day.

Sendible social media calendar

Another option you get here is the team member and profile filter. This lets you see posts in a specific account or for a client.

There is also the tasks section to keep track of activities assigned to you or team members.

Finally, you can use the “Compose” button or click on a specific day in the calendar to create a social media post. Alternatively, the bulk scheduling feature lets you schedule many posts at once.

One of the things I like most about Sendible is that the tool has many features without sacrificing usability. With its simple interface, you can access many features without breaking a sweat.

Sendible post composer

The post composer provides an interface to create and schedule your social media posts.

It has many features while being as easy to use as creating a caption on Instagram.

In the post composer, you can select the social accounts you want to publish to and write social media captions. However, I didn’t see an AI caption writer here, which some of Sendible’s competitors offer.

That said, Sendible lets you access RSS feeds from your composer if you want to publish curated content.

Beyond creating captions, you can edit them for different social platforms. This includes text, images, and unique settings.

Sendible post composer

You can upload images, videos, and PDFs from your computer. Then, there are more options like Canva, Google Drive, Giphy, Pexels, YouTube, and more.

Sendible has an image editor to add effects and customize images to the recommended sizes for each social platform.

Once you complete a post, you can see its preview on different platforms.

Then, you can schedule the post, add it to a queue, or save it as a draft. You can also see the best time to publish your post. If this is an evergreen post, Sendible allows you to set up a repeat post at your preferred interval.

Finally, if you work with clients or a boss, you can send the post for approval.

While the post composer has many features, it’s easy for anybody to navigate.

Sendible activity

Social media campaigns go beyond creating and publishing posts. You also have to engage with your audience.

And this is where the activity comes in.

Sendible activity contains the priority inbox and social feeds.

In the priority inbox, you’ll see messages sent to your Facebook, Instagram business accounts, LinkedIn company pages, and YouTube accounts.

Likewise, the social feeds show your Facebook page, Instagram business account, and LinkedIn company page posts. Here, you can see and reply to comments on your posts.

Sendible social feeds

Beyond these, you can assign interactions to team members. This is useful if you want to assign interactions to customer support reps who handle various aspects of your business.

Overall, the activity lets you engage with people who comment on posts or send messages to you.

Sendible content

If you need to publish a lot of content on social media, your brand content may be insufficient.

But with curated content, you can fill your publishing queue with relevant posts to engage your audience.

Sendible content provides curated content to feature on your pages. This section contains the “RSS feeds” and “My content.”

In the RSS feeds, you can add curated feeds in a relevant industry. However, if your favorite feeds are missing, you can add them manually.

Sendible RSS feeds

After doing this, you can track content from favorite industry sources and share relevant content pieces with your audience.

Another option is to save content pieces in “My content” for future use.

Another feature I like here is the RSS auto poster. With this feature, you can automatically publish posts from a particular RSS feed.

Let’s say you want to share your blog posts automatically on social media, all you have to do is add your blog feed and then create an RSS auto poster for it.

And you can also set up your RSS auto poster to let you review posts before they’re shared.

Generally, the content section provides curated content to ensure you fill your publishing queue consistently.

Sendible collaboration

If you run a social media team or work for clients, you may need to add them to your account for various reasons.

Sendible provides social media collaboration features to make that possible.

You can add new users to your account as team members, clients, or admins. Each user has default permissions, as I’ll explain later in the review.

But beyond that, Sendible lets you set up more permissions for each user.

You can also select which social accounts a user will have access to. This is useful if you want to add multiple clients to your account.

Once you add team members to your account, you can see their dashboard.

Sendible also lets you assign interactions to team members in your inbox and send posts to clients for approval before publishing.

Then, on your calendar, you can filter posts according to team members.

These collaboration features ensure you can create social campaigns with other people.

Sendible reports

Creating social media posts is a means to an end.

The end being brand awareness, web traffic, lead generation, or other goal you set for your social media campaign.

To track your performance against these goals, you need hard numbers. And that’s where Sendible reports come in.

Sendible reports provide analytics for Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, and YouTube. You can dive into each social platform to see your account metrics.

You also get Google Analytics, which shows the impact of your social media posts on web traffic.

These reports provide metrics about post engagement, publishing, audience growth, and audience demographics.

Sendible demographics report

Then, Sendible lets you build analytics reports with your preferred metrics. So, if you publish social media content for clients, reports can show the results of your campaigns.

Apart from understanding your performance, reports also reveal improvement opportunities.

Overall, Sendible reports have an easy interface and provide information about your campaigns.

Sendible Chrome extension

Imagine reading a gripping blog post online.

This post is so insightful, and your audience will learn a lot from it.

Well, the Sendible Chrome extension lets you share it without leaving the page.

Sendible Chrome extansion

Apart from its ease, the Sendible extension saves time, as you don’t need to log in to your Sendible account to share.

Even better, Sendible provides a link in your account that takes you to the Chrome extension page to download it. So, it’s easy to add it to your browser.

Once you enter your caption, you can now customize the caption for each social media platform.

As you do this, Sendible tells you if there’s a problem with any channel. For example, Sendible tells me I’ve not added media for Instagram, and the caption is over the character limit for Twitter.

Note that for YouTube, you can only embed videos you uploaded to your YouTube channel.

Another interesting option here is the Canva integration.

Sendible already shows some design options in the Canva tab. Here, I selected an Instagram post.

Doing this will open up the Canva interface for your design.

After creating your image, you can add it to the post.

Sendible has an editor that allows you to add filters, text, stickers, and transform images and videos.

For example, Sendible notified me to change the image resolution to LinkedIn’s recommended size.

Apart from adding media, you also have the option to add content from your RSS feeds or content you’ve added to Sendible.

To access this content, click on the book icon below the caption box.

To use this feature, click the bulk scheduling icon beside the compose button in any section.

Doing this will trigger the bulk scheduling interface.

In the feeds section, you’ll see content from the RSS feeds you’ve added.

To add a new feed, hover on “New Feed” at the top right corner of your page. Then, you’ll see the option to add publications and blogs or import feeds.

Here, I selected “Publications & Blogs.” This launched a popup to add an RSS feed URL or select curated feeds by topic.

You can explore the curated feeds according to your topics of interest. I explored social media and marketing.

Unfortunately, I found less than 20 feeds in the 2 topics I checked. So, you likely won’t find all your favorite sources.

In this case, you’ll have to add RSS feed URLs manually.

You can also save content to the “My Content” section.

If you want to share automatically from an RSS feed to your social profiles, click “New Auto Post” at the top right corner.

Before doing this, ensure you’ve added and selected the RSS feed.

The RSS Auto Poster provides options to publish from an RSS feed.

You can select the profile to post to, update frequency, publish status, and more.

How to collaborate with team members/clients

To collaborate with team members or clients, you have to add them to your account.

To add a new user, click the dropdown at the top right or top left corner. Then, click “Manage Users” or “New User.”

my dashboard in Sendible

If you click “Manage users,” Sendible will take you to the users’ page where you can create a new user. Click “New User” to begin.

Doing this will pop up a form to set up the details of your collaborator. Here, you have 3 options for a new user:

  • Team member: This user has access to every social account their manager manages. So, multiple team members can access similar accounts if they share the same manager.
  • Client: This user has access to their accounts. So, if you manage multiple clients, this helps to separate their social accounts.
  • Admin: This user can create and manage users. They can also manage your company and subscription settings.

In the account section, you can enter the new user’s name, email, username, and password.
