Missinglettr key features

Missinglettr dashboard

Once you register an account with Missinglettr, you can start on the dashboard. First, there are many tasks you have to execute to start managing your social media posts.

Missinglettr dashboard

Here, you’ll find 4 vital tasks to set up your account. First, you have to connect your social media accounts to the tool.

To connect a social profile, click on “Setup.” Doing this will bring up a popup with different social media platforms.

Among the options, you’ll find platforms such as Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn. Likewise, you have the option to sync past social campaigns to your profiles.

Adding a social profile on Missinglettr

For instance, when I clicked on “LinkedIn Profile,” I had to connect my profile and grant Missinglettr access to my account. After finishing the setup, the LinkedIn profile appears among my profiles.

After adding your social profiles, the next step in the setup is to add a content source. Missinglettr will extract a year’s worth of social posts from your sources.

To add a content source, click on “Setup.” This will bring up options to either add an RSS feed or a YouTube channel.

Adding a new content source on Missinglettr

Since my blog is one of the content sources I want to add, I prefer to add an RSS feed. This will detect new blog posts on my blog. When you click on “RSS Feed,” you’ll see a form to enter the URL.

If you have your RSS feed URL, you can enter it here. But even if you don’t know it, Missinglettr says it can detect the feed when you enter your latest blog post URL.

This will save you the stress of searching for your blog feed URL. After this step, the next task is to schedule your first social post.

You have the option to either click on the plus icon at the bottom right corner or schedule on each date. When you click on the plus icon, it lets you select a curated post or new post.

Creating a post on Missinglettr

When I click on “New Post,” Missinglettr brings up the post creation interface. Here, you’ll find many options you can explore for your social posts.

With the “Schedule” drop-down, you can have your post in the next time slot, send immediately, or choose a specific time you want. This feature allows you to create posts for different purposes and at different times.

If you’re just brainstorming on post ideas, you can save the post as a draft. So, at the beginning of a week, you can create as many posts as possible to use later in the week.

Using the icons at the top right corner, it’s easy to upload images, videos, or GIFs. Once you’re done creating your post, you can either schedule it or save as a draft.

Apart from composing posts on Missinglettr, there are other options at the left sidebar. For instance, you can add more social media accounts at the top of the sidebar.

Beyond that, you can see different posting statuses. If you want to organize your posts according to different topics or campaigns, it’s easy to do that with tags.

Here, you can add as many tags as you want.

Missinglettr drip campaigns

Another fantastic feature is the drip campaigns. With this feature, connecting to a content source is easy and Missinglettr will extract social posts for up to a year.

To access this feature, click on the “Drip Campaigns” drop-down. Then, click on “+ Create” to start a new drip campaign.

Doing this will trigger a popup where you can enter the URL for your campaign.

On the next page, you have the options of an auto campaign or an empty campaign. With the auto campaign option, Missinglettr will create content from your URL source.

On the other hand, you’ll have to create your content if you go for the empty campaign.

Apart from these, you’ll also have to select your campaign duration when you click on each option. Missinglettr allows you to have a duration as short as a 2-week blast or as long as 12 months evergreen.

After the setup, Missinglettr will work on your campaign and send an email to you once the campaign is ready. After I created mine, I got an alert in less than an hour that the campaign was ready.

Missinglettr users

Except you’re a solopreneur, you may have to run your social campaigns with a team. In this case, you’ll have to collaborate with them on your social media management tool.

In light of this, Missinglettr allows you to add users to your account. To add a user, click on the “Users” drop-down at the left sidebar and then “+ Add.”

Once you do this, enter their email and an invite will be sent to your team member.

Missinglettr curate

Let’s be honest, it’s almost impossible to meet your audience’s content needs with just your content. Therefore, it’s important to leverage content from other industry sources.

By doing this, it becomes easier to engage your audience and build a stronger connection. The curation feature is one of the strongest features you’ll find on Missinglettr.

To access this feature, navigate to the left sidebar in your dashboard and select the “Curate” option. Apart from that, Missinglettr provides a link to set it up as one of the vital tasks.

After clicking on the link, a form will popup to set up your curation sources.

Curation setup on Missinglettr

First, you can select categories and add tags or topics. This is vital since you want curated content that’s similar to your content. Otherwise, you’ll publish content your audience has no interest in.

Here, you should enter categories that relate to your industry. Missinglettr will provide suggestions as you type in the search box.

In the next step, you can enter your language. Then, the country you’re based in or serve can help the tool identify the most relevant pieces of content for your audience.

Beyond that, you can select the type of curated content you want to feature on your social profiles. For articles, you have the option to specify the minimum word count.

Once you complete the setup, click on the “Save” button.

Missinglettr analytics

If you’re running social media campaigns, one way to understand their effectiveness is through analytics. Whatever your social campaign goal may be, numbers show whether you’ve attained it or not.

Of course, you won’t get the level of analytics you’ll see on a dedicated analytics tool. But you can see all the important numbers.

For instance, there’s the total number of clicks and clicks from each social profile. Furthermore, you can see the location of your clicks.

Other important information you’ll find includes the browser, operating system, and more.

Missinglettr settings

In this section, you can indicate your preferences for different tasks in Missinglettr. You’ll find settings from posting all the way to drip campaigns.

In the posting settings, you can indicate your time zone and even blacklist dates that have proven to produce bad results.

Missinglettr also provides the option to select posting days and specify posting days for each social media profile. This makes it easy to post on the best days for your audience.

Missinglettr settings

Another useful setting here allows you to brand your content and add custom fonts. Beyond that, you can set up your curated content schedule.

Then, you’ll find many settings for your drip campaigns. These include content sources, URL shortener, schedule templates, and more.
